As a D1 college athlete, I played softball through my younger years & into my 20s. The work ethic + commitment as a college athlete has transcended into every aspect of my life and it accompanies my approach to business.

My collegiate chapter closed in Charleston, SC and in my junior year I move to Greenville, SC with my husband. I explored my creative side working with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and after four years with BBC paired + corporate hair and makeup gigs, I found my calling in the wedding industry.

Beauty Asylum is one of my favorite accomplishments. I've been able to parallel teamwork from the softball field & develop a beauty team that supports one another with compassion, growth, and community. With 16+ years in the hair & makeup industry, we've been able to merge connections and create a small business to house some of the best beauty stylists in the industry. 

Hair & makeup through Beauty Asylum has allowed me to check off milestones in my career. The company has serviced thousands of weddings and we’ve received recognition from the top bridal publications such as BRIDES, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot Weddings, Weddingwire, Style Me Pretty, MunaLuchi Brides, & Southern Bride. Corporate endeavors span from top names in media such as CNN, NBC, and CBS. Participating in the Democratic & Republican Convention and working with the presidential nominees is a highlight that still seems surreal. Lately, I’ve been able to combine my passion for travel & destination weddings. As a destination wedding makeup artist & bridal hairstylist. I’ve traveled to Paris, France + Limerick, Ireland + Tuscany, Italy for destination brides traveling from the US to Europe. These luxury weddings have given me the opportunity to explore beautiful places across the world and ignite a spark for world travel.

My number one goal is family. Being able to be fully present in the moments that matter the most are my top priority. My son is 12 & my daughter is 17. I want to soak up every milestone before my girl is off to college.

During the week, I operate the administrative side of the business. I am selective with my time and the wedding I agree to take. I want my clients vision and my personal style/ aesthetic to align. I’d say my style is soft glam + natural for makeup and my hairstyles are timeless and classic. I wont do anything crazy or heavy glam.. it’s just not my style.
